New Seattle arena images unveiled

Nov 30, 2012, 3:13 PM | Updated: Dec 3, 2012, 8:36 am

Chris Hansen’s design team has released new architectural images for the arena he’s proposing in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood.

A preferred concept for the $490 million complex would have sweeping views of the city skyline and Elliot Bay. The plans show potential building shapes and no exterior colors and finishes.

There will be a year-long formal review process before a design is chosen.

The Seattle Times reports the public will get a chance to comment on the new plans on Dec. 11 at Seattle City Hall.

Earlier in the week, 360 Architecture Inc. told the city’s Design and Review Board that the new arena will be unique and pedestrian friendly, and blend well with the neighborhood.
