There is an exciting announcement for country music fans across Western Washington.

Morgan Wallen will not have one, but two shows in Seattle at Lumen Field during his “I’m the Problem” tour this summer.

The shows will be on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, according to the singer’s website. The shows will also feature renowned musical guests Miranda Lambert, Brooks and Dunn and Anne Wilson — with Miranda Lambert playing Friday, Brooks and Dunn on Saturday and Anne Wilson performing both nights.

Morgan Wallen nominated in this year’s Grammy Awards

Morgan Wallen has been nominated twice for the 2025 Grammy Awards. Once in the category best country duo/group performance with Post Malone and also in the category best country song for his feature on the Post Malone song “I Had Some Help,” according to IMDb’s website.

This year’s Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 2.

The country singer’s run-in with the law

However, the country music singer hasn’t always been in the spotlight for good reasons. According to Business Insider, Morgan Wallen has tacked on a string of controversies.

More notable ones include Morgan Wallen’s “Saturday Night Live” appearance being canceled in 2020 after he was caught partying without a mask during lockdown.

In 2021, he was caught on video using the N-word, reported the media outlet. Morgan Wallen’s music was then pulled from radio stations across the country and he was barred from attending the American Music Awards.

“I’m embarrassed and sorry,” Wallen told TMZ, according to Business Insider. “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back.”

More recently in 2024, Business Insider reported, Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville and charged with three felony counts after he allegedly threw a chair from a sixth-story rooftop bar.

However, despite the bad look, Morgan Wallen’s 2023 album “One Thing at a Time” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and remained for 19 weeks, the media outlet reported. Wallen was also nominated four times in the People’s Choice Awards in 2024, according to IMDb.

Morgan Wallen fans will want to keep an eye out next week for tickets. The next presale will begin Thursday, January 30 at 11 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m., also through Ticketmaster.
