A DoorDash driver crashed his car into a tree in Lynnwood after he was allegedly completing an order while high on methamphetamine.

His car crashed on 192nd Street S.W. in Lynnwood. In response to the crash, the driver allegedly took out a lighter and set his own car on fire before running off, according to the Lynnwood Police Department.

“Officer Hydara grabbed a fire extinguisher and knocked down the flames while Officer Magnuessen and K9 Cannon tracked the suspect straight to his hiding spot under a parked car,” the Lynnwood Police Department stated on social media.

The department also added that the food “was crispier than intended and did not get delivered” in a comment on social media.

Another officer with the department determined the suspect was high on methamphetamines. The suspect admitted to the crash, the fire, and to fleeing law enforcement, and he admitted he did this all while he was supposed to be delivering food.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree arson, DUI, and hit and run.

“A flawless team effort from start to finish,” the Lynnwood Police Department added.
