KIRO Newsradio and the Seattle Symphony are giving you the chance to win two tickets to Opening Night of the Xian Conducts Series for an evening of unforgettable music marking the start of Music Director Xian Zhang’s inaugural season. Opening Night is Saturday, September 13th, 2025.
About the Concert
Experience the drama, destiny, and power of music as Xian Zhang leads the Seattle Symphony in the first performance of her Xian Conducts series:
- Jessie Montgomery – Hymn for Everyone: A meditative orchestral work that uplifts and inspires.
- Bedřich Smetana – Šárka: The stirring legend of a fearless female warrior.
- Giuseppe Verdi & Richard Wagner: Operatic passion and intensity brought to the concert hall.
- Edvard Grieg – Piano Concerto: Performed by the brilliant Simon Trpčeski, whose artistry brings this heroic masterpiece to life.
