Two-alarm brush fire breaks out near Tradition Lake in Issaquah

A two-alarm brush fire broke out at High Point near Tradition Lake in Issaquah Friday morning, Eastside Fire & Rescue (EFR) announced.

At approximately 7:15 a.m., EFR responded to the fire and noted the fire was 80% contained by natural fire breaks.

As of approximately 8:30 a.m., EFR noted that crews are continuing to work.

The City of Issaquah noted there were no immediate threats to city limits and advised people in the area to avoid nearby trails.

Just before 9:30 a.m., EFR provided an update stating that the fire was under control.

EFR mentioned that due to thick vegetation and floor debris, smoke is expected to intensify as the day progresses.

The Department of Natural Resources was also mobilized by the EFR.
