A big fire destroyed the Spokane Indians baseball team’s main concession stand Friday, along with thousands of dollars of snacks, food, beverages, and other equipment and electronics.
When firefighters arrived at 2:45 a.m., officials say flames and smoke were billowing from the structure.
The fire broke out in a building that’s part of Avista Stadium, home of the “High-A,” minor-league affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

The ballpark is owned by Spokane County and is part of the Spokane County Fairgrounds and Expo Center.
But it did not delay the fair’s Opening Day.
The Spokane Interstate Fair opened at 11:00 a.m. Friday, just a few hours after the fire broke out.
No one was injured in the fire.
Investigators with the Spokane Valley Fire Department are trying to figure out how the fire started.
Fire officials say investigators have been unable to enter the burned-out building since it is too dangerous to go inside.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department used drones above the structure on Friday as part of the initial investigation.
According to the Spokane Spokesman-Review, fire crews arrived six minutes after receiving the 911 call.
The flames did not spread beyond the concession building.
No other parts of the stadium were damaged.
