Two women found unconscious after violent assault at Edmonds massage parlor, suspect arrested

Two women suffered violent assaults at a massage parlor in Edmonds, the Edmonds Police Department (EPD) announced.
EPD responded to the reported assault at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sunday in the 9700 block of Edmonds Way. The two victims were found unconscious when officers arrived.
A 48-year-old male Edmonds resident reportedly assaulted the two women at the massage parlor before fleeing on foot.

Multiple witnesses told EPD the direction the suspect had fled, and officers were able to take the suspect into custody without incident.
The suspect spoke with officers and acknowledged he was involved in the assaults, but did not mention his motive.
One adult female victim was transported to Swedish Edmonds Hospital, and the other adult female victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. EPD noted that both victims may have suffered violent assaults due to officers finding both women unconscious as they arrived.
Officers will continue to learn more as the investigation develops. No additional information about the two victims will be released at this time.
