A 17-year-old girl was arrested in Clark County after allegedly strangling a woman to death.
Deputies with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were called to respond to a “physical disturbance” just after 12 a.m. Sunday in Vancouver. When the deputies arrived, they found a woman who was not breathing.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses informed deputies that a teenager attacked and strangled the victim. The teenage girl was later discovered in a nearby home. The suspect seemed to be “under the influence of intoxicants” when she was arrested, according to responding deputies.
The teenager and the woman knew each other, although the nature of their relationship is unknown at this time, as of this reporting.
The 17-year-old girl was booked into Clark County Juvenile Court Detention for second-degree murder. Detectives are continuing to investigate what led up to the homicide.
