‘It’s not the food, it’s the people’: Gee details why rural diners win for breakfast

In the search for the best breakfast spot in Washington, KIRO host Gee Scott revealed the necessary criteria used for labeling a restaurant as a personal fan-favorite on “The Gee and Ursula Show” on KIRO Newsradio.
“95% of the reason a restaurant is your favorite is the people working, it’s not necessarily the food, but it’s the people. The people make that food taste better,” Gee said. “The best breakfast places are in rural areas. Those small towns where you can smell the coffee in the parking lot. Where the waitress comes up to you and says, ‘What’ll you have, hon?’ When they start calling you ‘Hon,’ or ‘Dear,’ just take my money. Take my money, all you rural restaurants.”
