Person injured, dog killed in Olympia hit-and-run

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a driver who committed a hit-and-run in Olympia.
On Thursday night, a person and their dog were walking in the intersection of Yelm Highway S.E. and Donovan Drive S.E. in Olympia when a gray Kia-like sedan crashed into them. According to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, the person suffered serious injuries, and the dog was killed.
“TCSO’s traffic unit is on scene, reconstructing the collision scene and continuing to investigate,” Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders wrote.
