Tacoma police arrest second suspect in connection with fatal shooting

Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a deadly shooting on South Orchard Street.
The victim was found on October 10. On Tuesday, investigators announced the first arrest in the case.
On Friday, the second suspect was booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The first suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Man found dead in Tacoma homeless encampment
A man was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds in a homeless encampment on October 10, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call from the 2700 block of South Orchard Street shortly after noon that day, where an unresponsive adult male was discovered. The fire department pronounced the man dead at the scene.
