A residential fire engulfed a Renton home while the owners were away on Sunday night.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., Puget Sound Fire (PSF) and Renton Regional Fire Authority responded to the fire near the 9000 block of S. 204th Place, PSF announced.

As firefighters arrived, crews found large amounts of the fire burning from the back of the home.

Clouds of smoke escaped from the residence through the garage as flames continued to burn on the roof and backside of the home.

PSF stated it took firefighters more than 90 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported. All residents of the home were away at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross is currently assisting the residents affected by the fire.
