ICE ‘creating a lot of fear’ following Issaquah arrest, says AG

Oct 27, 2025, 4:49 PM | Updated: 4:50 pm

In Issaquah last week, federal agents followed a mother from the highway to her child’s preschool and detained her right outside the door.

“It’s incredibly damaging to public safety,” Attorney General Brown. “It’s creating a lot of fear… and I think we need to do more to keep people safe.”

Brown expressed deep concern about the tactics used in the arrest during a segment on the “Gee and Urusla Show” on KIRO Newsradio.

Brown went on to explain that while immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility, the manner in which it’s being carried out matters deeply. His office is now pushing for stronger protections for immigrant families and workers across Washington.
