Gee Scott blames Amazon, real estate for widening racial wealth gap
In 2024, the gap between the highest earners and the lowest earners in Seattle was $77,000, according to a report by The Seattle Times Thursday.
Citing census data, the media outlet found Asian households had the highest median income, around $141,30,0, and Black households had the lowest median income, around $63,600.
KIRO host Gee Scott pointed to two factors that widened the gap: Amazon and real estate.
